Sponsor a Teacher in Huehuetenango
Education in Huehuetenango, like in many rural areas of Guatemala, is limited. Many schools in the region lack basic resources, and many children, particularly indigenous children, do not have access to education.
ImpactHope has partnered with Gilberto and Ruth Noriega to impact the quality of education and increase access to education for indigenous children. There have been efforts to improve education in Huehuetenango, including programs to improve school infrastructure and teacher training.
The Filadelfia School in Chajul Quiché continues with an economic deficit in terms of salaries. Chajul is one of the poorest areas in Guatemala, with few sources of income for parents to pay tuition fees and enroll their children in school.
We admire the work of the teachers and their love for the children despite the low salary they receive. With your support, we can sponsor TEN teachers for the next school year and bless the children they cater to.
In addition to assisting the teachers, there is an immediate need of 500 Bibles.
Our total goal is $11,500 - $5,000 for Bibles and $6,500 for teacher support.
