Provide Bibles and Sponsor a Teacher in Huehuetenango
Education in Huehuetenango, like in many rural areas of Guatemala, is limited. Many schools in the region lack basic resources, and many children, particularly indigenous children, do not have access to education.
ImpactHope has partnered with Gilberto and Ruth Noriega to impact the quality of education and increase access to education for indigenous children. There have been efforts to improve education in Huehuetenango, including programs to improve school infrastructure and teacher training.
The Filadelfia School in Chajul Quichรฉ continues with an economic deficit in terms of salaries. Chajul is one of the poorest areas in Guatemala, with few sources of income for parents to pay tuition fees and enroll their children in school.
We admire the work of the teachers and their love for the children despite the low salary they receive. Thanks to your unwavering commitment to education, we have successfully raised the funds required to sponsor ten teachers for the upcoming school year.
In addition to assisting the teachers, there was an immediate need for 500 Bibles.
